The Anubis Gates

Within the universe of Anubis gates it almost seems like anything is possible. You have gates that allow you to travel through time. You have ancient magicians who are trying to bring back their ancient gods. Anubis gates even has a werewolf that has the ability to body swap. The possibilities are endless within this reality, but not all of these possibilities are good.

The main character Brendan Doyle, story begins when millionaire J. Cochran Darrow hires him to give and attend a lecture in the 19th century. Darrow discovered the set of holes created by worshipers of Anubis in the space-time and learned how to use them. It is on this trip where Doyle is kidnapped and separated from his group, ultimately getting stuck in that era. It is during his escape that he meets a beggar Jacky who is actually a woman in disguise, Jacqueline Tichy. Who traveled to the 19th century to get revenge for her fiancé, who was murdered for his body. A body-swapping werewolf, Dog-face Joe, murdered Jacky’s fiancé, for once Joe is down with the body he is in he poisons the body before he switches to a new one. Doyle ends up targeted by Joe and almost meets the same fate, but luckily Doyle was able to cure himself. In this new body Doyle realizes that he is Ashbless and with this newfound knowledge Doyle uses it to foil the magician’s plan.

The Anubis gates is a wild ride nothing is left out in this story. Every action had an affect on the story. It was the magicians who opened gates of time, which allowed Darrow to find Joe who switched bodies with Doyle and it was that body that gave him the knowledge to defeat the magicians. The story doesn’t end with the magicians, when Doyle decades later goes to where he is supposed to be murdered you find out that the body that was found is actually Doyle’s duplicate, that the master made.
